In this section you will find site maps for all of our hospitals. Please also note that car parking at University Hospital, Coventry can be very difficult at busy times of the day. To minimise your inconvenience we would advise wherever possible that you use public transport or ask a relative or friend to drop you off.

University Hospital, Coventry

University Hospital, Coventry is situated on Clifford Bridge Road, Walsgrave, Coventry, CV2 2DX.  

 

Parking

The car parks at University Hospital are pay on foot. From 1 April, 2014 the charges are as follows:

  New charge from 1 April 2014 Current charge
0-10 mins Free Free (up to 30 minutes)
1 hour £2.30 £2.00
2 hours £3.10 £2.80
3 hours £3.80 £3.50
4 hours £4.50 £4.20
5 hours £5.90 £5.40
6 hours £7.30 £6.60
7 hours and over (up to 24 hours) £8.50 £7.70

 

You can park for free if you are:

  • An oncology (cancer) patient attending for outpatient intravenous chemotherapy / radiotherapy treatment
  • Renal Dialysis patients
  • Parents of Sick Children (who stay in hospital overnight to accompany their sick children)

Simply contact the Ward or Department which is caring for you and ask for the Modern Matron or Ward Manager who will be able to confirm your eligibility and give you a form to take to the Security Office in the main entrance of University Hospital.

Live bus information

 

Centro has developed a site with live bus information for the services coming to University Hospital.

Trains

Coventry railway station has regular services between Birmingham New Street and London Euston. There are also local services to Rugby, Nuneaton and Northampton. The station has a taxi rank and there are direct buses to University Hospital, Coventry via the 9 and 9A service.  Please check the destination on the front of the bus which will display University Hospital. The service goes via the city centre. Further details are available on the National Express website.

Ring and Ride

Door-to-Door Accessible Transport

The Ring and Ride service was established to provide a door-to-door fully accessible bus service for people whose circumstances limit their personal mobility. Being available 364 days a year, from 08:00am to 11:00pm means that people have a greater choice of when they can travel. Please note that during Christmas and the New Year holiday period, times may vary.

The service operates within the Coventry Boundary catchment area which is CV1 to CV6. Please contact us via the number below to register to use the service.

Suitable for

Any person who suffers from a mobility problem which makes it difficult or impossible for them to use conventional public transport.

Cycle Parking

At University Hospital there are bicycle parking facilities outside the following entrances:

Clinical Sciences Building (CSB)
Main entrance (both left and right)
Arden Cancer Centre
West Wing Maternity Entrance

Parking

Parking at Hospital of St. Cross is pay on foot. The charges are as follows from 1 April 2014:

  New charge from 1 April 2014 Current charge
Up to three hours £1.60 £1.50
Between three hours and five hours £4.30 £4.00
Between five hours and 24 hours £7.00 £4.00 (currently parking is free from 6pm to 7am and on Saturday and Sundays).

 

Parking concessions:

  • Renal dialysis patients park free
  • Patients who have to attend multiple times can have concessions - max £3 per week
  • Free 30 minute parking for patients having blood tests

Cycle Parking

St Cross hospital has cycle spaces available in the following locations:

  • At the back of Brookfield House
  • Outside the Day Surgery entrance
