Infertility Support Group

The Infertility Support Group is run by patients for patients at the CRM. It is an informal and relaxed setting providing mutual support and information to those who suffer from infertility. The group has monthly meetings, with a variety of guest speakers talking on a range of subjects related to infertility. There is also a book and video library for members.

Meetings are held at 7.30pm on the last Monday of February, April, June, September and November at the CRM, University Hospital. You do not have to be a patient at the CRM to come to the group meetings.

For further information please contact Sharon on 02476 310821 (e-mail sharonpeake@uwclub.net) or Jane on 02476 303910 (janebloodworth@aol.com).

If you would like to become a speaker please contact us on the above number.

Patients Panel

The panel was originally set up in June 1998 as the Quality Focus Group with the aim of improving the service given to patients. This important group discusses issues relating to the quality of the service provided and is empowered to reccomend action to the CRM / Trust Management. It is vital that we have patient / user views represented in this way so we can develop and enhance the quality of the care we provide in line with user views and expectations.

The panel includes one of the consultant staff, a member of the hospital trust management team, a nurse, a scientist, and Becca and Sally. In addition, there are three current patients, both male and female.

Meetings are held quarterly and are minuted. As a patient they are an ideal opportunity to have your say. Should you have any ideas on improving the service you want to discuss, either contact Sharon or Jane at the Support group, or put them in the suggestion box in reception or submit them online.

Volunteers are needed to represent patients and users interests on the Patient Panel
