UHCW NHS Trust is pleased to announce that it has appointed David Eltringham to start as its new Chief Operating Officer.
Mr Eltringham is currently Chief Operating Officer at Birmingham Children’s Hospital and is due to start in his new role in September 2012.
He replaces Dr Ann-Marie Cannaby, who was Chief Nurse and Operating Officer at the Trust before leaving to pursue the role of Director of Nursing in Qatar.
In the interim period Sharon Beamish will take the role of Acting Chief Operating Officer until September.
Ms Beamish has held a wide range of leadership positions in the public sector across the NHS, many of which within the West Midlands including Chief Executive of George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust.
The role of Chief Nursing Officer has been appointed to Mark Radford, who was the Trust’s Deputy of Director of Nursing. He officially takes on this title from June 1, 2012.
Andy Hardy, Chief Executive Officer at UHCW NHS Trust, said: “I would like to thank Ann-Marie Cannaby for her hard work over her seven years at the Trust.
“I am confident that we have appointed a number of extremely experienced individuals who have the drive and commitment to patient care to be able to support us through the Foundation Trust application process and beyond.”
