THE ARDEN Neuroendocrine Tumour CENTRE -ENETS CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE ACCREDITED

UHCW Trust's Neuroendocrine Tumour Service, The Arden NET Centre is the regional centre for Coventry and Warwickshire also receiving referrals from hospital trusts further afield.

The Centre is proud to have been successfully re-certified by The European Neuroendocrine Tumour Society (ENETS) in January 2020 as a 'Centre of Excellence (CoE)' for the diagnosis and treatment of patients with Gastro-entero-pancreatic (GEP-NETs).

  • ARDEN CoE is happy to have successfully passed the pilot phase accreditation audit for an extended scope of the ENETS Centers of Excellence (CoE) certification, which includes the diagnosis, treatment, and aftercare of pulmonary NET.
  • ARDEN CoE’s feedback led to the further improvement and development of the requirements catalogue/specifications for extended scope of the ENETS CoE certification.
  • ARDEN CoE is grateful that we had the opportunity to serve ENETS in this process. The planned rollout extending to all Centers of Excellence will take place over the next year

The unit has a strong reputation for providing high standards of medical and nursing care to patients across Coventry, Warwickshire and beyond. Building on its success and in order to meet increasing demands for the service the team will be expanding.

Diagnosis, treatment and care are offered to patients with neuroendocrine tumours (NET) of following types:

Functioning and non-functioning, within the small bowel, pancreas (gastrinoma, insulinoma and glucagonoma), colon, appendix, rectum or lungs as well as in the adrenals (phaeochromocytoma) and further Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia (MEN).
