The Trust’s mission statement is Care, Achieve and Innovate. Research and innovation is one of the Trust’s Strategic Priorities. Research into new treatments and interventions means that our patients benefit from the latest evidence-based practice. We work in partnership with Universities, Research Networks, industry and other partners to develop research capacity within the Trust.
Our goal is for UHCW to establish its reputation as a leading institution for research and innovation. The Research and Development team provide advice on all aspects of clinical research to support and develop research within the Trust, including:

- Ethics and approvals
- Governance
- Intellectual property
- Good research practice
- Honorary contracts
- Applying for research funding.
