Bereavement Services

Information and Advice for Bereaved Families and Friends

Fore mostly, please accept the sympathy of the hospital staff on your recent bereavement. We recognise that this is a difficult time, and wish to help you navigate the next steps of bereavement for you and your family.

The information on this and the adjoining tabs is to help outline what first formal steps you need to take after your loved one has died in hospital. Some of this information will be relevant to you and your loved one, whilst other parts may not be.

It can be helpful to have a reference point for information during this process, so we invite you to visit this site as many times as necessary, or, to call our Bereavement Services team who will kindly and compassionately respond to your questions and help you as much as possible.

In order to avoid an unnecessary journey to the hospital or a delay in receiving your documents, please telephone the Bereavement Services team before coming to the hospital on one of the following numbers, between the hours of 9:30am - 4pm, Monday to Friday:

  • 02476965834
  • 02476965835
  • 02476965838

Before you leave the hospital, be sure to ask a staff member for the appropriate information regarding what you need to do next.

We are here to support you as much as we are able during this difficult time.
