We appreciate the importance of being able to help you say goodbye to a loved one. The hospital’s Bereavement Services team will be happy to help you book one of the limited number of slots available for viewing loved ones at the UHCW’s Chapel of Rest.
Your opportunities may be more limited here at the hospital to view, and you may find that going to the undertaker’s Chapel of Rest is preferable. We do appreciate that this may involve a delay, and if this is the case, the hospital’s mortuary’s viewing room is available by appointment.
Again, please be advised that viewing slots are very limited and must be made by appointment through the UHCW Bereavement Services team. We are unable to facilitate viewing times outside of the available slots.
To make an appointment to view a loved one during office hours, please telephone 024 76 965 834, 02476 965 838 or 02476 965 835 to arrange a mutually convenient date and time.
Out of office hours, telephone the UHCW hospital switchboard on 024 7696 4000 and ask them to call the on-call bleep holder who may be able to make a similar arrangement.
