As part of our response to COVID-19, we have reviewed how we can safely re-open our coffee shops and restaurant to accommodate visitors and keep everyone safe.
Customers opting to eat-in will be asked to provide contact details as part of the NHS Test and Trace programme to help stop the spread of COVID-19. Seating layouts have been updated to allow for social distancing.
In line with national guidelines, all customers who can need to wear a face covering while queueing and waiting to be served. Those opting to eat-in can remove their face covering when sat at a table consuming their food and drink.
Retail units will have areas reserved for staff and these will be clearly signposted. Please do not use these if you are not a member of staff.

At the Hospital of St Cross, there is Poplar Place restaurant on the 1st floor of Rainsbrook Wing, and a Tea Bar run by the Friends of St Cross on the other side of the hospital in the Outpatients Department.
Shops WH Smith, which sells newspapers and books as well as snacks and personal care products.
M&S Food, which sells food as well as greeting cards, some gifts and hot drinks.
The Stock Shop, which sells clothes and gifts.
Cafés and Restaurants Restaurant on the Mall open from 7am-8pm serving a delicious range of food from breakfast, through lunch to dinner
Union House Coffee Company serving Starbucks Coffee Monday to Friday 6.30am-9pm, Saturday and Sunday 10am-5pm

Pharmacy The pharmacy is on the ground floor of the hospital, just past the main entrance and is on the left. Opening Times: Monday-Friday from 9am-5.30pm
Banking There is a cash point in Main Reception, University Hospital and also WH Smith on the ground floor just inside the main entrance to the hospital.

Accommodation for relatives Our accommodation office can provide your relatives with a list of accommodation throughout the city.
Mobile Phones If you would like to speak to your family and friends or would like them to contact you please make use of the bedside phone available. Mobile phones should not be used in ward areas of the Trust. However they can be used in public corridors.
Bedside televisions, radios and telephones Telephones and televisions with headsets have been installed by bedsides throughout the hospitals.
Through the bedside system, you have access to television channels, and a selection of radio channels including our own hospital radio station.
You can make and receive phone calls, and family and friends can also leave you messages.
The system is operated using a payment card, which can be purchased at pay stations located throughout the hospitals as well as by pressing the green button on the system itself.
Once you are registered, family and friends can call you at the bedside. Children aged 16 and under do not pay for access to television.
University Hospital Coventry- Cash Machines- There are three cash machines in the following locations: inside WH Smith, One in the main foyer, and in the Women’s & Children’s entrance.
Hospital of St Cross - There are currently no cash machines at the Hospital of St Cross.

If you are experiencing symptoms associated with COVID-19, e.g. fever, loss of taste or continuous new cough, please DO NOT attend for a blood test.

Booking an appointment helps patients, their carers and family members to plan their hospital visit better, helping to reduce clinic waiting times and enabling patients to be seen much more quickly.

Please book an appointment before attending for a blood test, click on the ‘Book Online’ button above. Patients from Rugby and the surrounding areas are able to access the Friends Blood Taking Unit at the Hospital of St Cross.
Referrals for blood tests can be from GP's, practice nurses or from hospital consultants. Patients are also able to leave other samples, such as urine, which have been collected at home, at the hospital's Pathology Reception.
