Cancer Information and Support Centre

The Cancer Information and Support Centre is available to everyone affected by cancer including people diagnosed with cancer, their families, friends and carers as well as those worried about the symptoms of cancer. The centre is staffed by a health professional specialising in cancer information as well as trained volunteers. It provides access to all areas of support, someone to talk to, appropriate information about a specific cancer, signposting to other sources of support and information including support groups and suggestions for practical help.

Our Living With and Beyond Cancer programme, developed by the NHS and Macmillan Cancer Support, supports people to lead a good a quality of life following their cancer diagnosis. The programme helps people emotionally, financially, and offers support and advice when you need it most.

Improving the health and wellbeing of people living in Coventry and Warwickshire

UHCW is part of the Coventry and Warwickshire Integrated Care System, which works across organisational boundaries for all communities across Coventry and Warwickshire.

We are working together to share knowledge and are pooling resources to action our plan for improving health and care.

Together we aim to:

  • Help people to stay healthy for longer

  • Focus on the best health and care outcomes for our citizens

We will achieve this by putting people and communities at the heart of everything we do, to help everyone lead healthier and happier lives, be part of a strong community and benefit from effective and sustainable health and care services where and when they need them most.
