Help shape our research

Getting involved in research doesn't just mean taking part in research as a participant. We are keen to make sure that patients, carers and members of the public in and around Coventry and Warwickshire are involved in shaping the research that we do.

Patient and public involvement in research (also known as PPI) is when patients and members of the public are actively involved in research projects and organisations; working alongside researchers to plan, manage and carry out research and report research findings.

By involving patients, carers and members of the public, researchers can benefit from their unique views, experiences and insights and ensure they are taken into account throughout the research study.  By working with our researchers, patients and the public can improve research and make a difference to healthcare at UHCW in the future.

If you live in or around Coventry and Warwickshire and would like to get involved in patient and public involvement in research at UHCW, or would like further information, please email our Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement Team at Research.PPI@uhcw.nhs.uk or telephone 024 7696 6201.
