Why take part in clinical research?

The decision to take part in research is often a complex one.

For many people, there are usually various reasons that they decide to take part, this might include:

  • The hope to benefit from a new treatment or test
  • Wanting to help improve care for others
  • Believing they will be more closely monitored
  • Wanting to learn more about their condition
