Ward 25 is our postnatal ward - a dedicated area where mothers and their newborn babies receive care and support after childbirth. The ward provides a safe and nurturing environment for recovery, bonding and the initiation of essential routines such as breastfeeding and newborn care.

Our dedicated and skilled team of midwives and support staff are there to care for you and support you as you learn to care for your newborn baby. Our mothers are closely monitored and cared for, while newborns are assessed, and routine checks are undertaken.

Specialist midwives are also available on the ward including our infant feeding midwife and patient experience midwife.

Whilst on the ward, we will offer guidance on infant care, hygiene and emotional wellbeing.

The ward aims to ensure a smooth transition from hospital to home, fostering confidence in parents as they begin their parenting journey.
