A&E car park at University Hospital closed for resurfacing works

Over the coming weeks, the Accident and Emergency (A&E) car park at University Hospital will be closed for resurfacing works.

During this time, A&E will remain open as usual for those requiring emergency treatment. Minor injuries and illnesses in adults will continue to be treated at Rugby and Coventry Urgent Treatment Centres.

The surface will be completely removed and replaced, with the car park closing in phases to keep disruptions to a minimum.

Appropriate signage is in place to direct and inform those attending A&E. This will be updated with any changes as they occur.

There will be 30 car parking spaces available for use, along with spaces for blue badge holders, at any one time. Alternative spaces are available in other car parks located on site.

Access to the car park will be permitted for ambulances, non-walking A&E drop offs and pedestrians, with work set to begin on Monday 11 May.

There will be no impact to emergency services accessing and leaving the area.

Apologies for any inconvenience caused. Thank you for your co-operation.
