ADVICE FOR PATIENTS DURING INDUSTRIAL ACTION BY JUNIOR DOCTORS

As you may be aware, industrial action is planned by some junior doctors from 7am on Friday 11th August until 7am on Tuesday 15th August.

On these days, all services at our sites will continue to run as normal, including emergency care and our Urgent Treatment Centres.

If you need medical help or advice, or you are unsure about whether you should go to hospital, go to NHS 111 online unless it is a life-threatening emergency when you should still call 999.

GP services and pharmacies are also available for patients and can be accessed in the normal way.

If we have not contacted you, please attend your hospital appointment as planned. The NHS will contact you if your appointment needs to be rescheduled due to industrial action.

For support and advice on when to call 999 and when to go to A&E, you can visit the NHS UK website.
