Carol Service in Coventry for NHS and Council Staff

There will be an opportunity to give thanks for our NHS and council services at a special carol service this Christmas. It will take place at Holy Trinity Church in Broadgate in the city centre, starting at 12.30pm on Monday, December 21, 2015.

The singing will be led by a ‘Health and Happiness’ choir made up of staff from University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire (UHCW) NHS Trust and the Coventry and Rugby Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and voluntary sector partners.

The service will be led by UHCW’s Lead Chaplain Reverend Simon Betteridge with readings from The Lord Mayor of Coventry, Cllr Michael Hammon and staff and volunteers from the NHS and City Council. Reverend Paul Simmonds will share a Christmas reflection highlighting how the historic message of peace in Bethlehem connects with the Bethlehem of today and our world. Paul is from Workcare, a charity which works with churches across Coventry and Warwickshire.

The service is open to any members of staff, NHS or council, or members of the public who may wish to celebrate and say thank you for the services we all benefit from throughout the year. Coffee and mince pies will be served before the start of the service.
