Children’s Emergency Department to undergo remodelling as part of £15m expansion

Remodelling work on our Children’s Emergency Department will begin on Thursday, 2nd March 2023.

This work, which forms part of a £15m expansion project on services at University Hospital, Coventry, is expected to last for six months.

Whilst we continue to work to improve and expand our Children’s Emergency Department throughout this phase of the project, the Trust asks that all children attending the department are accompanied by only one parent/carer. This is to ensure all patients have enough space in our waiting area.

Please be reminded that our staff are working hard to minimise any disruptions you may face during this time, and we understand that the works may cause some inconvenience.

We have a zero-tolerance approach to violence and aggression, and we urge people to treat staff and patients with respect and kindness at all times to enable our teams to continue to give care to those who need it most.
