To help bring people together over the festive period, we are pleased to announce an extension to patient visiting times on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

Friends and family can attend bedsides between 11am and 8pm at both our sites – University Hospital in Coventry and Hospital of St Cross in Rugby.

A maximum number of two people can visit for up to one hour at a time. There are exceptions in some areas, click here for more details.

The extended hours also apply in maternity but for one additional visitor (in addition to the birth partner) only.

Our priority is to protect patients and staff and, to help us do this, we ask that all visitors adhere to the following guidelines:

• Do not attend if you have symptoms of flu, Covid-19 or other respiratory viruses, or if you have had any diarrhoea and/or vomiting within the previous 48 hours.
• When visiting, you must follow all infection prevention measures in place. This includes wearing facemasks in clinical areas and washing your hands and using hand gel regularly.
• Please remain in the bed space of the patient you are visiting. If assistance is required from staff, the call bell should be used.

Normal visiting times – 2pm to 8pm – will resume from Tuesday 27^th December.

Members of staff will be on hand to provide advice and answer any questions.
