The offer is available via the city’s resident scheme, Go CV, and those who are Go CV+ members are eligible to benefit.

UHCW Director of Midwifery Gaynor Armstrong said: “We are committed to providing the best possible maternity services and supporting expectant mothers throughout their pregnancy journey.

“We are delighted to be working with the Coventry City Council Start for Life Team to offer help to those in our community who need it most.”

To qualify for Go CV+, you must live in Coventry and meet one of the below criteria:

  • Resident receiving qualifying benefits
  • Foster carer
  • Registered carer
  • Student in full-time education
  • Asylum seeker

Jane Moffat, Early Help Operational Lead at Coventry City Council said: “Public Health and Coventry Start For Life services recognise the importance of preserving these precious early memories and aim to make them accessible to all eligible parents-to-be.

“This offer from Coventry City Council is for those families that may need a little more help and support through the Go CV+ offer. We want all families to bond with their baby and this starts in pregnancy.

“This offer reinforces Coventry's commitment to support all families and ensures that every expectant parent can cherish the journey of their pregnancy, which is the start of the critical first 1001 days in a child’s life.”

To take advantage of this exclusive offer, individuals are encouraged to visit the Go CV website to check their eligibility for Go CV+. Those not registered with Go CV can sign up via the Go CV website.

To claim the offer, simply speak to reception during your scan visit at University Hospital. Individuals will be asked for proof of eligibility.
