Local hospitals looking for world-class staff

One of Coventry’s largest employers is encouraging people to attend a recruitment open day later this month.

University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust is inviting interested people to attend the open day, which takes place on Saturday, May 20, from 10am-2pm in the Clinical Sciences Building (CSB) at University Hospital.

Current staff and managers will be on hand to talk about working at the Trust and the fantastic opportunities that are available. A team of recruitment experts will be there to offer advice and support on how to find and apply for jobs at the hospital, as well as guidance on how to return to nursing or make the switch from community to acute nursing.

People interested in nursing vacancies will also have the chance to be interviewed on the day, or to book an interview at a more convenient time, and the opportunity to go on a hospital tour to see our brilliant facilities first hand.

There are a wide range of nursing vacancies, including in the Trust’s 32 theatres, as well as administration and apprenticeship roles in a number of departments at University Hospital, Coventry and the Hospital of St Cross in Rugby.

Karen Martin, Chief Workforce and Information Officer, said: “We want to open our doors and show off our world-class facilities and career opportunities available in Coventry and Rugby.

“We’re welcoming former NHS workers who want to come back and deliver great care in our hospitals and also the next generation of dedicated and hardworking NHS staff in Coventry and Warwickshire.

“This is a great opportunity to learn more about working at the Trust and in the NHS, and I would strongly recommend you come along to find out how you can grow your career at your local hospitals.”

The open day will take place on Saturday, May 20, from 10am-2pm in the Clinical Sciences Building at University Hospital, Coventry.

Please note the Clinical Sciences Building (CSB) at University Hospital is an adult training facility and therefore is not suitable to bring children to the open day.
