Outstanding care of individuals and teams honoured in annual Trust awards

Individuals and teams who go above and beyond to deliver and support the delivery of care have been recognised during a special evening celebrating the best of Team UHCW.

The 2025 University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire (UHCW) NHS Trust Outstanding Service and Care Awards (OSCAs) were held at the Coventry Building Society Arena with more than 400 staff and partners in attendance.

Hosted by BBC CWR presenter Lorna Bailey, a total of 18 awards were presented during a ceremony celebrating the incredible dedication, expertise and compassion of staff.

This year saw a record breaking 2,300 nominations, which were reviewed and scored by independent judging panels to create a shortlist. We would like to congratulate everyone recognised for making a difference, including our 2025 winners:

UHCW NHS Trust Chief Executive Officer, Professor Andy Hardy, said: “It was amazing to celebrate the inspiring work of so many of our colleagues and teams at the Outstanding Service and Care Awards.

“The stories of compassion and teamwork shared in the nominations received this year are a testament to our brilliant people, who work incredibly hard every day to support our patients, their loved ones and each other.

“It was wonderful to take a moment to recognise their contributions and achievements at such a special event. Congratulations to all of our deserving winners, as well as our award finalists and nominees!”

We would also like to say a huge thank you to the sponsors of the OSCAs – UHCW Charity, Virginia Mason Institute, Coventry and Rugby Hospital Company, ISS, Mitie, Coventry University and Warwick Medical School – for their continued support.
