Patients to be sent short survey to help reduce waiting lists for elective care

As part of the Trust’s ongoing efforts to reduce waiting lists, patients on the waiting list at University Hospital, Coventry or the Hospital of St Cross, Rugby will be contacted from week commencing Monday 16th December via SMS text message.

By completing this important survey, you will help us to ensure that our waiting lists are up to date so we can effectively prioritise your care and our resources.

Patients contacted via SMS will receive a unique four-digit pin and a link to a secure portal. After clicking the link, you will be prompted to enter your pin and date of birth to log in before being asked to complete a short survey.

If you hear from the Trust, please respond as soon as you are able within 30 days.

Professor Andy Hardy, Chief Executive Officer of University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire (UHCW) NHS Trust, said: “We are working incredibly hard to reduce our waiting times and ensure our patients are treated or seen as quickly as possible.

“Your responses to this survey, which should take no more than 10 minutes to complete, will help us to ensure our waiting lists are up to date and offer updates on their condition so we can offer the right level of support and care.

“If you receive a text message, please be assured that this is from the Trust and complete the survey at the earliest opportunity.”

Texts will begin to be sent out from Monday 16th December to Thursday 19th December. Messages will resume on Monday 30th December until Thursday 9th January.
