Nominations are now open for our Outstanding Service and Care Awards (OSCAs) - with UHCW aiming to make this a record-breaking year for entries.
After meeting the challenges of Covid-19 head on and working to restore services, there has never been a better time to celebrate the hard work and dedication of our staff and teams.
The OSCAs provide you with the opportunity to recognise those – whether they are clinical, non-clinical or from our support services – who have gone above and beyond the call of duty.
Tell us your stories of individuals and teams who have helped to make a difference. Who went out of their way to help and support you? Who left a long lasting impression? Who has lived and breathed our values?
Anyone can submit a nomination – patients, relatives, colleagues – across one or several categories recognising care and compassion, innovation and our unsung heroes amongst other things.
Patients and their loved ones are invited to show their appreciation for shining stars who provide exceptional care and service as part of our People’s Choice Award, which is open solely to nomination from members of the public.
It will only take a few minutes of your time, but your nomination will mean the world to the individuals and teams concerned.
Chief Executive Officer, Professor Andy Hardy, said: “We have inspirational staff working across our hospitals, and right now they deserve recognition for their efforts more than ever before.
“Our staff have been there offering care to patients even during the most difficult days of the COVID-19 pandemic and continue to go above and beyond on a daily basis in challenging circumstances.
“These awards are just one way in which we can recognise staff excellence and the amazing work that they do. I’d like to encourage anyone who has experienced or observed great care or service to make a nomination and give our staff a boost.”
To nominate someone for an award, please fill in a form at https://www.uhcw.nhs.uk/osca/ before 11.59pm on Tuesday 31st August 2021.
Please keep your eyes peeled for further updates on the awards on our social media channels and website.
