UHCW Comms team shortlisted for PR Moment award 2016University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire (UHCW) NHS Trust has been shortlisted at the PR Moment Awards 2016 in the Social Media Campaign of the Year category.

The awards celebrate the best work in PR and communications across the private and public sectors in the UK, and see the Trust join a category shortlist of well-known brands such as O2, Hobgoblin and Virgin Trains.

The Trust’s Facebook page has enjoyed an increase of over 500% in likes since October 2014, and regularly reaches tens of thousands of local people in Coventry and Warwickshire. It is used to engage with members of the public and patients, and update them on new developments at the Trust.

Karen Martin, Chief Workforce and Information Officer, said: “To be shortlisted for a PR Moment award is a fantastic achievement and thoroughly deserved recognition for our Communications Team.

“The Trust is keen to innovate and embrace new technology, especially if it helps improve communication with our patients.”

The awards ceremony will be held in London on Wednesday, March 2, 2016.

It is the third time in the last six months the Trust has received recognition for its social media presence, having previously been shortlisted in the UK Social Media Communications Awards and the Comms2Point0 UnAwards.
