University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust launches new patient-friendly digital health portal

Patients at University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire (UHCW) NHS Trust are benefiting from a new online platform allowing them to access information about their healthcare from their mobile phones, laptops and tablets.

The new patient portal – named myhealth Coventry and Warwickshire - went live on Monday 16th December.

Using the patient portal will put patients more in control of their own care, with 24/7 access to view clinical letters, scheduled appointments and selected blood test results.

Further functionality, including the ability to cancel, reschedule or request appointments for select services, will be added during 2025.

Su Rollason, Deputy Chief Executive and Chief Finance Officer at UHCW NHS Trust, said: “We aim to put patients at the heart of everything we do and continually look at digital advances that create new opportunities to further improve care to local people.

“Our patient portal provides our patients with completely secure, 24/7 access to view their upcoming appointments, clinical letters and selected blood test results, with exciting new functionality to be added in the coming months.

“Technology is a valuable tool in healthcare, and we are proud to be able to offer this digital system to our patients.”

Signing up to the portal is optional for patients, but it makes accessing important clinical information much easier as the portal will run on smartphones, computers and tablet devices.

When patients are scheduled a new outpatient appointment, the Trust will send a text message inviting them to join the patient portal. All they need to do is click on the secure link and follow the instructions as prompted.

Further information about the portal and how to sign up is available here.
