A memorable night was had by all as we came together to celebrate the individuals and teams who go above and beyond to provide amazing care.
The 2021 University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire (UHCW) NHS Trust Outstanding Service and Care Awards (OSCAs) were held at the DoubleTree by Hilton.
Hosted by BBC CWR breakfast presenter Phil Upton, a total of 15 awards were handed out on Bonfire Night to honour our sparkling staff.
Among the winners was Haematology Clinical Nurse Specialist Kathryn Marshall, who picked up the People's Choice Award that was only open to nominations from members of the public.
Kathryn was nominated by Joanne, who talked about the ‘exceptional care’ given to her daughter Francesca, who has the blood disorder Von Willebrand disease.
"To say I’m chuffed is a bit of an understatement," Kathryn said as she picked up her trophy. "This is a huge highlight in my career, thank you so much.”
All the winners are listed below. Congratulations to them, the shortlisted nominees and those who made the long-list on your amazing achievements.
Professor Andy Hardy, Chief Executive Officer, added: "I’m so proud of all the achievements of all of our staff and teams going above and beyond to provide world-class care to our patients."
We would also like to say a huge thank you to the sponsors of the OSCAs - UHCW Charity, ISS, The Coventry and Rugby Hospital Company, Vinci and Warwick Medical School. Your support is hugely appreciated.
