Coventry Urgent Treatment Centre

The Coventry Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC), on the first floor inside the City of Coventry NHS Healthcare Centre, provides urgent care services to patients which can be accessed daily from 8am until 10pm.

Once you have received an assessment, you will be prioritised based on your clinical need so your treatment will be provided in an appropriate timeframe.  
Injuries and illnesses that can be treated include:
  • Small wounds including minor cuts and bruises
  • Vomiting and diarrhea including stomach aches
  • Animal bites/stings
  • Sports injuries
  • Minor burns and strains
  • Skin conditions (including minor rashes)
  • Ear and throat infections
  • Hay fever
  • Wound dressing care
  • Removal of stitches
If you attend the UTC with complex medical conditions, trauma (severe injury), surgical conditions or you require advanced tests, you will be referred to or taken by ambulance to University Hospital, Coventry.
You may also be booked in to see our team through the NHS 111 service.
 
The blood testing service at City of Coventry Health Centre is by appointment only. Click here to book.
If you have a severe illness or injury you should go directly to University Hospital, Coventry, or dial 999 for an ambulance. 
Please note you are not able to register as an NHS patient at the centre.

Attend the Coventry UTC reception on the first floor to book your appointment or check-in for your appointment.
 
By car – the closest public car park is located outside the centre and operates a pay and display service. This can be accessed via leaving Junction two on the Coventry ring road on to Bird Street and staying in the right hand lane and taking the first right turn into the car park on Stoney Stanton Road.
 
By bus – Bus services terminate in either the Pool Meadow Bus Station or Trinity Street, which are both a five minute walk away.
 
By train – When you arrive at Coventry Railway Station take the number 27 bus from directly outside the station entrance to Pool Meadow Bus Station. You will then have a five minute walk to the centre.
