Maxillofacial Prosthetics is a Clinical Healthcare Science which deals with the specialist rehabilitation of patients requiring reconstructive treatment after a traumatic injury, cancer surgery or birth defect. Our training centre for Reconstructive Science MSc students is accredited by the Scientist Training Programme (STP) and specialised technical dentistry service is also available for patients following head and neck cancer.
Maxillofacial Prosthetics are involved in surgical planning, active treatment and rehabilitation, fabricating and fitting a vast range of custom made facial and body prosthesis, splints and appliances to restore appearance and/or function. We specialise in, silicone prosthetics, cranioplasties (skull plates), scar pressure therapy, head and neck surgical planning and orthognathic surgical planning.
Maxillofacial Prosthetics uses cutting edge 3D planning suite contains advanced software and 3D printers which we use to produce surgical guides and anatomical models.
Maxillofacial Prosthetics accepts referrals from GPs and from consultants at University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire or other Trusts.
