Dr Harrold graduated from Southampton University in 2003 and has worked in the West Midlands since 2004. He completed his postgraduate training in the region, including working at Warwick Medical School as a teaching fellow for two years.
Dr Harrold started as a consultant in Diabetes, Endocrinology, and Acute Medicine in October 2015, and was clinical lead for Acute Medicine between 2020 and 2023.
His speciality areas of interest include metabolic bone disease, osteoporosis, and inpatient diabetes care. He is also a keen educator and works with Warwick Medical School in training the future generation of doctors.
Special Interests:
Dr Chris Harrold, Consultant in Acute Medicine, Diabetes & Endocrinology, graduated from Southampton University in 2003 and completed post-graduate training in the West Midlands.
Dr Harrold has been working as a consultant in UHCW since 2015 and has a shared role between Acute Medicine and Endocrinology. Within Acute Medicine, Dr Harrold has been heavily involved in the development of MDU and implementation of Ambulatory Emergency Care. In March 2020 Dr Harrold became the Clinical Lead for Acute Medicine.
Dr Harrold has a specialist interest in metabolic bone disorders, such as osteoporosis and parathyroid disease, as well as being passionate about Inpatient Diabetes care.
