    Primary Investigator for the PARTIAL study 2023 looking at the outcomes of different surgery for small kidney tumours.
    Primary Investigator for the PuRE study 2018-20 looking at the surgical management of lower pole renal stones, also for PuRE-Qual looking at barriers to recruitment.
    Primary Investigator for the POUT study 2013-17 looking at adjuvant chemotherapy post nephroureterectomy, and the translational spin off POUT-T study 2014.
    Primary Investigator for the Ethicon surgical stapler study 2016 using a new surgical stapler during laparoscopic nephrectomies, UHCW was usually the highest monthly recruiter globally.
    Co-investigator for the Panther and SORCE studies looking at the use of TKI drugs for patients with kidney cancer.

  • Special Interests:
    All forms of surgery for surgical kidney problems, specialising in minimally invasive approaches endoscopic, percutaneous, laparoscopic and robotic surgery for kidney tumours and stones. By 2023 of about 250 partial nephrectomies, 100 have been done robotically, with World-class outcomes.
    International work. He has worked and taught on stone and laparoscopic courses in Egypt and Sri Lanka. During training he learnt laparoscopy in both France and Belgium.
