  For the past 21 years I have developed my specialist interest in the upper limbs, especially shoulder and elbow surgery. My fellowship was spent as The Deputy Shoulder Fellow in the Upper Limb Unit at the Wrightington Hospital, which has an extensive exposure to a wide variety of Upper Limb pathologies. Since taking up my Consultant appointment, my specialist interest in the Upper Limb has continued to develop and my practise is now almost exclusively shoulder and elbow surgery, including both elective and trauma. I was Clinical Director of the Orthopaedic department from 2003 to 2007, being responsible for leading a large team of orthopaedic surgeons and leading the transition of the department to the new hospital.
  
• Special Interests:
  I have particularly developed my practise in the fields of arthroscopic reconstructive surgery of the shoulder, shoulder and elbow arthroplasty, including revision surgery and post traumatic reconstructive surgery of the upper limb. I have a large tertiary referral practice in all these fields. I teach regularly both nationally and internationally.
