Meals

During your hospital stay we will provide you with three meals a day. We can also provide lunch box snacks if you have missed a meal.

We operate protected mealtimes in all of our adult wards. At set times throughout the day, all non-urgent clinical activity stops to help patients eat their meals in a calm atmosphere.

Meal times

  • Breakfast 8.00am – 9.00am
  • Lunch Midday-1.00pm
  • Dinner 5.00pm – 6.00pm

The full menu offered to patients can be viewed by clicking here.

We offer hot drinks and snacks throughout the day. If your meal is unsuitable, please let your  nurse know so we can offer an alternative where possible.

The Food Information for Consumers Regulations came into force in December 2014. The new EU legislation requires the Trust to have information available to inform patients if any dish on their menu contains one or more of the 14 major food allergens covered by the legislation. The 14 allergens are gluten, crustaceans, molluscs, fish, peanuts, tree nuts, eggs. Soybeans, milk, celery, mustard, sesame, lupin and sulphur dioxide.
