Who We Are
The R&D Team are a dedicated team of R&D professionals committed to developing research within our Trust. We also have a dedicated team of Innovation Champions from a range of disciplines who are committed to facilitating innovation activities within the Trust.

What We Do
The Trust’s mission statement is Care, Achieve and Innovate as research into new treatments and interventions means that our patients benefit from the latest evidence-based practice. We work in partnership with Universities, industry and other partners to develop research within the Trust.

UHCW is establishing its reputation as a leading institution for research and innovation. The Research and Development team provide advice on all aspects of clinical research and innovation to support and develop research and innovation activities within the Trust, including:

• Registration
• Ethics and approvals
• Governance
• Statistics and design support
• Intellectual property
• Good research practice
• Honorary contracts
• Applying for research funding.
• Innovation idea identification and development

The Research and Development Team has two key roles. The first is to develop a portfolio of leading-edge research focussed on the needs of our patients that is conducted to the highest standards. The second is to support our staff in discovering and developing innovations to benefit our patients.
